Firemen tackle the blaze of 12 May 1912.

The building goes back to the 1886 when it was built by Faire Bros. It later suffered a major internal fire in 1912, but was rebuilt retaining the brick facade. The factory closed in the early 1990's and was converted to residential use in 2008, retaining a heritage status in the developing new Cultural Quarter.
